Job Summary:

Registered Nurse on the Medical Surgical/Tele unit providing high-quality cardiac-focused care using telemetry monitoring. This role supports safe medication administration for cardiac drips and timely intervention based on patient status.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor telemetry and vital signs to identify arrhythmias and clinical deterioration.
• Administer and titrate cardiac medications, including cardiac drips (e.g., Cardizem, Tridil, amiodarone).
• Perform bedside assessments and collaborate with the care team to update care plans.
• Deliver nursing care for medical surgical/telemetry patients while maintaining safety and infection control.
• Document nursing care, assessments, and medication administration accurately and promptly.
• Respond to emergencies using established protocols and escalate concerns without delay.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse license with compact or Alabama eligibility as required.
• Maintain current BLS certification and NIH certification.
• Hold or demonstrate ACLS capability (preferred).
• Demonstrate cardiac drip experience in a telemetry/MS environment.
• Achieve competence in medication safety, infusion management, and arrhythmia response.
• Provide prior large healthcare facility experience and prior travel experience.
