Job Description
Job Summary:
IR Tech supports neurointerventional and interventional radiology procedures by preparing patients, operating imaging equipment, and maintaining safe, compliant workflows. This role requires strong radiologic technology fundamentals with demonstrated neurointerventional experience and reliable certification/registry credentials.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for IR and neurointerventional procedures, including assessment and positioning.
- Operate fluoroscopy and other interventional imaging equipment according to established protocols.
- Assist with sterile setup and procedural workflow to support timely, safe interventions.
- Monitor patient condition during procedures and respond to urgent imaging or clinical needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of technologist activities, imaging data, and required compliance.
- Ensure radiation safety practices and equipment readiness throughout shifts and on call.
Qualifications:
- Hold an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or an Allied Health field as specified.
- Maintain current CPR certification; ACLS preferred.
- Possess an ARRT RT(R) registry credential.
- Prefer a Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI) registry.
- Obtain or maintain required state ODH licensure prior to start or during compliance period.
- Demonstrate 2–3 years of job-related experience as a radiologic technologist, including 2–3 years in IR with neurointerventional experience.
