Job Summary:


Emergency Room Registered Nurse provides rapid assessment and immediate clinical support to patients presenting with urgent or life-threatening conditions. The role focuses on identifying severity, initiating appropriate interventions, and stabilizing patients to minimize long-term impact while collaborating with the emergency care team.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients promptly using triage-informed clinical evaluation to determine acuity and care priorities.
  
• Administer emergency nursing interventions, medications, and treatments per established protocols and provider orders.
  
• Monitor vital signs, respond to clinical changes, and escalate concerns to the supervising clinical team without delay.
  
• Perform wound care, IV access support, specimen collection, and diagnostic preparation as directed by the care plan.
  
• Support airway, breathing, and circulation needs during stabilization and emergent response situations.
  
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and timely in the medical record.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license (OK or compact) and maintain all required compliance standards.
  
• Possess BLS certification through AHA (or equivalent accepted provider standard).
  
• Maintain ACLS certification through AHA (or obtain and maintain per facility policy).
  
• Maintain PALS certification through AHA (or obtain and maintain per facility policy).
  
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of recent ER experience with strong emergency nursing competencies.
  
• Complete TNCC certification (preferred) and demonstrate readiness for high-acuity workflow demands.
