Job Summary:

The TRAVEL - RN - SICU (650) - Wesley Medical Center - 7P - 7A provides direct patient care in an ICU/Surgical ICU setting, managing complex, high-acuity needs including post-cardiac and post-procedural patients. The RN coordinates timely interventions, delivers evidence-based critical care, and supports safe unit operations with a focus on teamwork and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients and monitor vital signs, hemodynamic status, and clinical responses continuously
• Administer and titrate medication drips and critical therapies per protocol
• Perform post-surgical and trauma ICU nursing care, including post-CABG and post-TAVR patients
• Manage invasive lines and support procedures such as chest tubes and central line care
• Operate and troubleshoot ICU technology including balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia, and ECMO workflows
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to escalate changes and coordinate care

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital ICU experience
• Maintain current ACLS and BLS certification
• Demonstrate competency with ICU-level post-surgical critical care practices
• Prefer experience with NIH certification/NIH-related assessments and/or TNCC
• Show prior travel experience, especially to large trauma facilities
