Job Summary:

TRAVEL - RN - ICU (653) provides high-acuity nursing care in an intensive care/CCU environment, supporting critically ill patients with complex therapies and monitoring. This travel role requires strong critical care skills, adherence to evidence-based practice, and efficient coordination of care within a fast-paced unit.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver bedside critical care nursing for CCU-level patients, maintaining safety and clinical standards.
• Manage complex therapies including balloon pumps, CRRT, and hypothermia protocols as appropriate.
• Administer and titrate medication drips and therapies per provider orders and unit policy.
• Perform and maintain central line care, including aseptic technique and monitoring for complications.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team during high-acuity procedures such as cardioversion and heart cath–related care.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in Meditech (or per unit EMR workflow).

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license and maintain eligibility for travel assignment requirements.
• Possess a minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital ICU experience.
• Maintain BLS certification and ACLS certification.
• Demonstrate strong ability to provide safe ICU care with reliable clinical judgment and attention to detail.
• Have prior experience with NIH documentation/assessment processes (preferred).
• Offer prior Meditech experience (preferred).
