Job Summary:
TRAVEL – RN – CVOR - COST CENTER (703) / 6:30AM-3:00PM provides skilled perioperative nursing support for cardiovascular surgical cases. The role assists with safe, efficient CVOR workflows by preparing the sterile field, supporting surgeons during procedures, and ensuring appropriate patient care before, during, and after surgery.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment for cardiovascular procedures
• Assist the surgical team by positioning patients and supporting intraoperative nursing needs
• Monitor patients’ condition throughout surgery and escalate concerns to the charge nurse and provider
• Maintain accurate documentation of perioperative nursing care and device/supply usage
• Coordinate with anesthesia and the interdisciplinary team to support case flow and safety checks
• Perform post-procedure assessments and support timely transfer to the next level of care

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of RN experience with cardiovascular surgery/CVOR workflows
• Possess strong knowledge of aseptic technique, sterile processing principles, and perioperative safety
• Show proficiency in perioperative assessment, monitoring, and documentation
• Maintain current BLS certification (and ACLS as required by facility policy)
• Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
