Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the pulmonary step-down unit, ensuring high-quality clinical support during your assigned shift. This role involves delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment requiring clinical expertise and adaptability.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans aligned with medical directives.
• Administer medications, including cardiac drips, chest tubes, and trach care, ensuring proper documentation.
• Monitor and respond to patient changes, utilizing equipment such as lifts, vents, and trachs to maintain stability.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure compliance with policies.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records using Cerner EMR system.
• Follow unit policies, including weekend and on-call staffing as scheduled.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of professional nursing experience.
• Demonstrate experience with trach care, chest tubes, and wound dressing changes.
• Hold valid ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Prefer candidates familiar with Cerner EMR and previous PACU or progressive care experience.
• Exhibit flexibility, strong clinical skills, and high professionalism.
