Job Summary:

Provide specialized surgical support as a Certified Surgical Tech within the labor and delivery unit, assisting with various obstetric and gynecological procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Assist surgical team with procedures, including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&E, D&C, tubal ligation, vaginal repair, and hysterectomy.
• Operate and troubleshoot unit-specific equipment, including GE systems.
• Document procedures accurately within the EPIC system, following facility policies.
• Follow unit-specific guidelines and policies to maintain compliance and safety.
• Float as needed to support staffing requirements during low census periods.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Certified Surgical Tech credential.
• Demonstrate experience working in labor and delivery surgical settings.
• Possess current BLS and NRP certifications.
• Exhibit strong knowledge of obstetric and gynecological procedures.
• Display excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical tech experience preferred.
