Job Summary:
The Dietitian will provide specialized nutritional care to adult and geriatric patients in an acute care hospital setting, supporting clinical teams with nutrition assessments and interventions to promote patient health outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ nutritional status through Nutrition Focused Physical Exam and identify characteristics of malnutrition.
• Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans based on clinical diagnoses and patient needs.
• Collaborate with medical teams to optimize dietary interventions and ensure compliance with medical orders.
• Document findings, interventions, and progress accurately in electronic health records.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, including pass/fail EKG exams, licensing, and background checks.
• Participate in float responsibilities across various hospital units as required.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active State License as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD).
• Possess a minimum of 1 year recent experience in an acute care inpatient setting.
• Demonstrate competence in Nutrition Focused Physical Exam and recognition of malnutrition characteristics.
• Have experience working with adult and geriatric populations across diverse medical conditions.
• Be well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently without sacrificing quality and accuracy.
• Be willing to float and work across multiple hospital units as needed.
