Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to oncology patients in a dynamic hospital setting. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and adhere to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care for oncology patients.
• Administer chemotherapy, medications, and treatments per protocol.
• Monitor patient responses and manage side effects or complications.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, side effects, and post-discharge care.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and support staff to coordinate care.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in North Carolina or the ability to obtain licensure there.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in oncology or related acute care.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Experience with chemotherapy administration and oncology procedures preferred.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced hospital environment and multitask effectively.
