Job Summary:
Provides clinical and administrative support in a primary care setting, assisting physicians and enhancing patient care through direct clinical procedures and effective communication.

Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, performing spirometry, EKGs, and using laboratory equipment.
• Assist providers with medical history documentation, including obstetrical history, and prepare patients for exams.
• Chart patient information accurately in EMR and update records as needed.
• Greet patients, check-in and check-out, and manage patient registration process efficiently.
• Handle phone communications, document correspondence, process prescription refills, and follow up on patient requests.
• Support clerical duties including scanning documents, completing route slips, and submitting charges.

Qualifications:

• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent and complete an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Possess at least two years of experience in a physician’s office or similar clinical environment.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EMR systems, vital sign collection, and medical procedures.
• Exhibit excellent communication, patient service, and organizational skills.
