Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients before, during, and after procedures. Assist with patient assessments, monitor recovery, and ensure optimal patient outcomes through attentive care and coordination.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver care to medical-surgical patients in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patient vital signs, respond to changes, and manage any post-operative complications.
• Educate patients and families on recovery processes, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in medical records.
• Assist with charge responsibilities as needed, including shadowing and training for charge nurse duties.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
• At least 1 year of experience in medical-surgical nursing.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to adapt to dynamic hospital environments and handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills.
• Willingness to participate in charge nurse training and shadowing opportunities.
