Job Summary:

The CVOR RN will provide specialized perioperative care for cardiovascular surgeries in a hospital setting, demonstrating high competency in open heart procedures. They will support a busy surgical unit with flexible scheduling and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Scrub hearts and assist with complex cardiovascular surgeries, maintaining sterile technique.
• Circulate procedures in the OR, ensuring patient safety and procedure efficiency.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to meet unit needs and adapt to floating assignments across various OR suites.
• Adhere to scheduled shifts, including 12-hour days, weekday call, and weekend call rotations every five weeks.
• Follow hospital protocols and maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system, including Epic.
• Demonstrate flexibility to meet patient care demands and prioritize safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with at least two years of OR experience, specifically in cardiovascular and open heart surgery.
• Possess current BLS certification; CNOR certification preferred.
• Have recent Epic EMR experience (within past two years).
• Demonstrate prior travel experience in a hospital setting.
• Be flexible with scheduling and able to float to additional OR suites as needed.
• Possess reliable transportation, personal or rental vehicle, as public transit is unavailable.
