Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, supporting high-volume trauma and stroke cases while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient, compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions rapidly upon arrival and prioritize care based on acuity.
• Perform and document clinical procedures using advanced equipment such as Baxter pumps and GE monitors.
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols and certifications.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families using the AIDET framework, maintaining respect and professionalism.
• Collaborate with team members and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with unit policies, maintain accurate documentation in Cerner system, and meet scheduling needs.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Level 2 trauma or comprehensive stroke center.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent ER nursing experience in a high-volume department (>100,000 visits annually).
• Maintain current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC (within 90 days if applicable).
• Demonstrate proficiency in advanced emergency procedures and teamwork in a multi-cultural environment.
• Able to work flexible hours, including every other weekend shifts, and float within ED sections.
