Job Summary:

Provides specialized respiratory care to a diverse patient population, including infants through geriatrics. Performs diagnostic testing, manages ventilation therapies, and assists in critical care situations within a high-acuity hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer non-invasive and invasive ventilation therapies, including arterial line management and oxygen therapy.
• Conduct bedside pulmonary function tests and perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and pulmonary health.
• Manage respiratory equipment and medications, ensuring proper operation and safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain compliance with all certifications and facility protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid GA or Compact State Respiratory Therapist license.
• Possess at least 1 year of relevant clinical experience, including trauma care.
• Be certified in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Demonstrate proficiency in arterial line management, ventilator management, and pulmonary testing.
• Experience working with adult and pediatric intubated patients preferred.
• Provide current compliance documentation to ensure timely onboarding.
