Job Summary:
The Pharmacist Manager oversees the inpatient pharmacy operations, ensuring the safe, effective, and cost-efficient dispensing and management of medications. They lead pharmacy staff, enforce regulatory compliance, and collaborate on strategic initiatives to optimize pharmacy services.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote safe, appropriate, and cost-effective medication use.
• Supervise medication storage, preparation areas, and inventory management across the facility.
• Ensure strict control and documentation of all medications, including controlled substances.
• Manage pharmacy staff by establishing performance standards, evaluating performance, and fostering professional development.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as hospital policies governing pharmacy practices.
• Maintain current licensure, certifications, and competencies, including Epic system experience.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy Degree; PharmD required.
• Current Colorado Pharmacy license in good standing.
• Minimum of [X] years of pharmacy management, operations, and clinical leadership experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements, clinical judgment, and communication skills.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience with Epic pharmacy systems required.
