Job Details

Job Summary:
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing X-ray equipment to produce high-quality images for medical diagnosis and treatment planning. Operate radiology equipment independently while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Execute routine and specialized radiology procedures with precision and adherence to protocols.
• Prepare imaging equipment and assist physicians during invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures.
• Educate patients about procedures, contrast media, and possible biological effects to alleviate anxiety.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient information, and equipment calibration.
• Follow safety standards to minimize radiation exposure in accordance with ALARA principles.
• Support departmental operations by answering calls, updating electronic health records, and managing supplies.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid X-Ray Tech license and Fluoro license in California.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent radiologic imaging experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic charting system and radiation safety protocols.
• Ability to operate complex stationary and mobile radiology equipment effectively.
• Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Be capable of working variable shifts and responding swiftly to call-backs for lab work.
