Job Summary:
Responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders in a hospital setting. Provides specialized therapy services across acute care and rehabilitation units, ensuring quality care and patient progress.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ communication and swallowing abilities to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Administer speech therapy interventions, including FEES evaluations and MBSS procedures.
• Document patient progress and clinical findings accurately in the Meditech system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate seamless therapy services.
• Maintain certification requirements, including BLS, CCC-SLP, and FEES experience, to ensure adherence to industry standards.
• Adapt to the fast-paced hospital environment, floating between inpatient rehab and acute hospital floors.

Qualifications:

• Hold valid CCC-SLP certification from ASHA.
• Possess BLS certification.
• Demonstrate experience with MBSS procedures and FEES certification.
• Have at least 2 years of recent experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Be able to work independently and adapt quickly to varying clinical environments.
