Job Summary:

Provide specialized postoperative care to patients recovering from anesthesia in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Ensure patient safety, comfort, and stability during the critical recovery period with a focus on efficient and compassionate care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient condition continuously and monitor vital signs to detect any postoperative complications.
• Administer medications, oxygen, and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth handoff and comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient status, interventions, and responses accurately in the medical record.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Educate patients and family members regarding postoperative care and recovery expectations.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current state licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in PACU or similar perioperative settings.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA or ARC.
• Ability to quickly assess and respond to patient needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
