Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to obstetric patients in a labor and delivery unit during 13-week contract assignments. Hold primary responsibility for patient monitoring, support during labor, and post-delivery care, ensuring safety and adherence to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert nursing care to obstetric patients, including managing active labor and postpartum recovery.
• Monitor fetal well-being using various equipment such as Novii, JADA, US, and fetal pillows.
• Administer medications, including those related to epidural anesthesia, and coordinate C-section procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient status and interventions in electronic health records.
• Ensure compliance with unit policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid RN license with at least 2 years of experience in labor and delivery.
• Demonstrate competency in fetal monitoring, ACLS, BLS, NRP, and sterile vaginal exams (SVE).
• Exhibit experience with C-section circulation and internal monitor placement.
• Possess strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations in a Level IV high-volume unit.
• Prefer candidates with prior employment at HCA facilities or experience with Meditech EMR systems.
