Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides specialized respiratory care to patients in acute care settings. They operate ventilators, administer blood gases, and monitor patient progress to ensure optimal respiratory health.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ respiratory conditions and develop appropriate care plans.
• Operate and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators, BiPAP, and other respiratory equipment.
• Perform blood gas analyses and interpret results for clinical decision-making.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to prioritize patient safety and treatment efficacy.
• Document patient care activities accurately in medical records.
• Work rotating weekends and night shifts as scheduled.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Ohio Respiratory Therapist license; candidates with pending licenses are ineligible.
• Maintain current BLS certification.
• Possess a minimum of three years of acute care experience, including blood gases, ventilator management, and BiPAP.
• Demonstrate proficiency in emergency and routine respiratory procedures.
• Exhibit strong communication and teamwork skills.
