Job Summary:


Seeking an experienced surgical technologist to join the Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and sterile technique to support safe and efficient surgeries.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate proficiency in surgical procedures and effectively troubleshoot issues as they arise during operations.
  
• Verify and prepare all supplies and equipment according to surgeon preferences, ensuring availability and proper functioning.
  
• Maintain the sterile field, monitor for breaches in technique, and ensure environmental sterility throughout procedures.
  
• Assemble, sterilize, and accurately document use of instruments, medications, sharps, and sponges to ensure patient safety and proper billing.
  
• Set up the sterile field promptly, anticipating the needs of the surgical team and assisting with equipment management.
  
  Qualifications:
  
• Possess 3+ years of CST experience with a strong background in surgical environments.
  
• Demonstrate experience with orthopedic, sports medicine, OB/GYN, ophthalmic, or urology surgeries.
  
• Proficient in handling C-sections and related procedures.
  
• Hold current American Heart Association BLS and NBSTSA certification.
  
• Willingness to work a schedule of 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with 48-hour shifts following 58-hour shifts (32-hour guarantee).
  
• Travel experience preferred.
  
• Complete two supervisory reference forms within the past two years and maintain current skills documentation.
