Job Description
Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled Cath Lab Technician with experience in cardiac catheterization procedures and additional expertise in Interventional Radiology, Vascular, or Neuro. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in at least two of these four modalities, as reflected in their work history. This role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic acute care environment, supporting multiple hospitals within the facility system.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and assist with cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, vascular, and neuro procedures while adhering to sterile techniques.
- Collaborate with physicians and team members to ensure accurate procedural documentation and patient care.
- Maintain equipment calibration, troubleshooting, and proper set-up of lab tools and devices.
- Follow all safety protocols, including pre-procedure patient assessments and post-procedure documentation.
- Float within scope to meet facility needs across multiple units and hospitals as required.
- Complete required modules and training prior to start, ensuring compliance with all hospital policies.
Qualifications:
- Possess 18 months of direct experience in Cath Lab or related specialty; 2 years preferred.
- Hold current certification or registration as a Cardiovascular Tech (RCVT) or equivalent; RCIS preferred.
- Maintain current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Demonstrate proficiency in EKG interpretation and pharmacology testing during orientation.
- Be nicotine-free with a negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start date.
- Ability to work flexible shift schedules and adapt to floating requirements.
