Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) provides comprehensive patient care in a high-volume emergency department, managing diverse clinical situations for patients of all ages. This role requires critical thinking, rapid decision-making, and adherence to industry standards to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions accurately and efficiently.
• Administer medications, including drips such as pressors, vasodilators, anti-arrhythmics, sedation, and insulin.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Respond swiftly to emergency situations, including trauma, cardiac arrests, and sepsis.
• Administer specialized treatments using unit-specific equipment like Rapid Infusors and Arctic Sun.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and documentation requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active New York RN license.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent ED experience, including pediatric cases.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC EMR and understanding of pediatric to geriatric patient care.
• Maintain current certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale.
• Document travel experience if applicable, with a minimum of 75 miles from the facility for travelers.
• Provide valid driver’s license matching demographic details and a verified Nursys report.
