Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing spine, total joint, and hip preservation surgeries in a busy hospital operating room. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes during procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Administer preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and staff during operative procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative needs.
• Maintain strict sterile techniques and ensure all surgical equipment is properly prepared.
• Document patient care and procedural details accurately in the EMR system.
• Support post-operative patient care and education as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license and have at least 2 years of recent acute care OR experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Meditech and CPN electronic medical records.
• Possess BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Have spine and joint surgical experience, including joint scrub skills.
• Be flexible, communicative, and capable of working effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
