Job Summary:
The registered nurse in the Orthopedic specialty will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric orthopedic patients, including those recovering from joint replacements and fracture repairs. The role involves supporting patients across a 29-bed unit with telemetry monitoring and physical therapy integration.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Collaborate with physical therapists to facilitate patient mobility and recovery.
• Monitor telemetry data to detect and respond to cardiac changes.
• Assume Charge RN duties and oversee staffing during shifts.
• Float to other campus units as needed to support patient care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with current credentials in hand.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent RN experience, including travel assignments.
• Demonstrate previous Charge RN experience and BLS certification.
• Be able to pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam with two attempts.
• Have EPIC electronic health record experience.
• Be willing to work 3x12 night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) with every other weekend.
