Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct and indirect patient care in a skilled nursing facility, focusing on residents in specialized units including memory care, short-term rehabilitation, and long-term care. The role involves collaborating with care teams to ensure a safe, compassionate, and effective healing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver skilled nursing care to residents across multiple units, including memory care, rehabilitation, and long-term care.
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans based on resident needs and conditions.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies such as IV therapy and wound care accurately.
• Monitor resident responses to treatments and document findings in compliance with facility policies.
• Adapt to floating assignments across units, providing consistent quality care in varied settings.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid State of Maine or compact RN license.
• Possess 1-3 years of previous RN experience in a long-term or rehabilitative care setting preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology and clinical skills.
• Exhibit strong teamwork, communication, and flexibility to meet 24/7 staffing needs.
• Ability to understand behavioral cues and communicate effectively with dementia and Alzheimer's residents.
• Be willing to float between units as required.
