Job Summary:
This RN position in the Cardiac Cath Lab/EP department supports acute care procedures, primarily focusing on electrophysiology and catheterization lab work. The role involves working within a teaching hospital environment, requiring expertise in cardiac procedures and patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform post-procedure patient assessments and monitor vital signs for cardiac cath and EP patients.
• Assist physicians during invasive cardiac procedures, ensuring procedural protocols are followed.
• Prepare and maintain sterile equipment and supplies for catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
• Document procedures, patient information, and clinical data accurately in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, including safety, infection control, and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a cath lab or electrophysiology setting.
• Certify completion of BLS and ACLS certifications at the time of application.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EKG interpretation and pharmacology relevant to cardiac care.
• Successfully pass EKG and pharmacy tests during orientation with no remediation required.
• Be nicotine-free with a negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start date.
• Have references from a direct supervisor or manager within the last 18 months.
