Job Description
Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures in a fast-paced, supportive environment. This travel RN position requires technical expertise and patient advocacy to ensure optimal outcomes throughout procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Administer pre- and post-procedure patient care, monitoring vital signs and patient responses.
- Collaborate with physicians and technical staff to support diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures.
- Operate and assist with advanced equipment such as Impella, balloon pumps, and IVUS.
- Maintain accurate documentation within Merge Hemo and adhere to unit policies.
- Provide patient education and ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid RN license with at least 2 years of recent experience in a cardiac cath lab setting.
- Possess RCIS certification and BLS/ACLS credentials.
- Demonstrate proficiency with cardiac catheterization procedures, including both diagnostic and interventional tasks.
- Exhibit strong technical skills and ability to adapt to new technologies.
- Capable of working 10-hour shifts with rotating call and willingness to float as needed.
