Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit within a Level I Trauma Center. Utilize clinical expertise to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs, responses to treatment, and overall condition, documenting accurately in electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and modify care plans tailored to patient needs.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies, providing appropriate interventions and stabilization.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety regulations, and clinical standards, including trauma and travel requirements.
• Float between units and campuses as needed, maintaining flexibility within designated geographic areas.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in the state or a valid compact license.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent, relevant hospital experience, including trauma exposure preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems.
• Be able to work night shifts (4x12 hours) and participate in weekend and holiday rotations as required.
• Complete a minimum of 3 travel assignments and adhere to all travel compliance standards.
• Maintain vaccination status, including up-to-date BLS certification.
