Job Summary:


Seeking a skilled Physical Therapist for an inpatient rehabilitation unit at JFK Main, providing patient care across orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and med/surg populations. The role involves day shifts with a focus on acute care and neuro-rehab, supporting a multidisciplinary team.



Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and develop treatment plans for inpatient rehabilitation patients.
  
• Administer therapeutic interventions utilizing equipment such as treatment beds, resistance bands, treadmills, and exercise bikes.
  
• Document patient progress accurately in the electronic medical record system (Meditech).
  
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapy team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  
• Educate patients and families on treatment goals and post-discharge care.
  
• Maintain compliance with safety and infection control standards.
  
  
  
  Qualifications:
  
• Hold BLS certification and possess at least 1 year of current hospital acute care, inpatient rehab, or SNF experience.
  
• Be able to work varied day shift hours, including weekends on a rotating basis.
  
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills in inpatient therapy across diverse patient populations.
  
• Possess excellent time management and critical thinking abilities.
  
• Preferably hold a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) credential.
