Job Summary:
Provide specialized psychiatric nursing care for adult patients in a busy inpatient setting. Deliver comprehensive patient supervision, medication administration, and crisis intervention to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses in accordance with prescribed treatment plans.
• Conduct safety and room checks, perform vital signs, weights, and blood glucose assessments.
• Observe and document patient behaviors, enforce de-escalation techniques, and utilize physical restraints when necessary.
• Collaborate with Charge Nurses, nursing assistants, and support staff to coordinate patient care delivery.
• Provide direct patient support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and mental health stabilization.
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain compliance with facility protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Registered Nurse (RN) license with at least one year of psychiatric nursing experience.
• Possess current BLS, PCT certification, and de-escalation training.
• Demonstrate ability to handle adult psychiatric conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, and substance abuse.
• Have prior experience with patient observation, vitals, and phlebotomy duties.
• Be adaptable to float across various adult and children psychiatric units, including crisis and detox areas.
