Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients within a Medical Surgical unit, ensuring quality patient outcomes and adherence to clinical protocols. Assist in maintaining a safe, efficient, and compassionate environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
• Monitor patient status and document clinical observations accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update care plans.
• Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed.
• Provide patient education to promote understanding of condition and care procedures.
• Participate in charge nurse duties, including shift coordination and supervision, with optional charge training/shadowing offered.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Proven experience in a Medical Surgical setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility for EOW/EOH shifts.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred.
