Job Summary:


Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical setting, adapting to various unit needs as part of a floating pool. Ensure patient safety and comfort during 12-hour night shifts, including holiday and weekend rotations.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
  
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes promptly.
  
• Document patient assessments, care provided, and responses accurately.
  
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
  
• Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care.
  
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Current registered nurse license in the state of practice.
  
• Successful completion of a medical-surgical nursing program or experience.
  
• Ability to adapt quickly to different unit environments as a float nurse.
  
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  
• BLS certification; additional certifications such as ACLS preferred.
