Job Summary:

Seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for a travel position in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit at a leading hospital. The role involves providing specialized patient care for cardiovascular and vascular surgery patients, including post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgery care.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac surgery, thoracic lung, and vascular surgery patients.
• Monitor patient status using telemetry and manage complex cardiac medication GTTs.
• Administer treatments such as epidural management, chest tubes, and IV feeds.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR system.
• Adhere to all unit policies, safety protocols, and certification requirements.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent stepdown or telemetry experience.
• Prior experience with CV surgery, TAVR, lobectomy, AAA repairs, or vascular procedures preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule including weekend shifts and holidays.
