Job Summary:
The Travel RN Labor and Delivery (L&D) is responsible for providing specialized maternal and newborn care in a high-acuity environment. This role involves managing high-risk OB patients, performing complex procedures, and ensuring safe delivery processes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to high-risk obstetric patients, including monitoring fetal and maternal health.
• Administer medications and manage IV drips such as magnesium and insulin as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes during labor, delivery, and postpartum.
• Document patient assessments, care plans, and procedures accurately utilizing electronic medical records.
• Support labor and delivery procedures as circulating or scrub nurse, maintaining sterile technique.
• Adhere to unit policies, protocols, and safety standards, including high-risk OB care guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 1 year of travel experience in high-risk OB/L&D settings.
• Hold current certifications in NRP, ACLS, and BLS.
• Demonstrate intermediate fetal monitoring skills and experience with high-risk OB procedures.
• Exhibit strong teamwork, adaptability, and a proactive approach in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work 13-week assignments with rotating shifts, including major winter holidays.
• Certified as a Registered Nurse with valid licensure.
