Job Summary:
Provide expert nursing care to patients on a medical-surgical platform with a focus on orthopedics and neurology. The role includes floating between diverse Med-Surg units, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient care in accordance with hospital standards and policies.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, demonstrating proficiency in recognizing cardiac rhythms.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient information accurately in Epic EMR, maintaining compliance with documentation standards.
• Float between various Med-Surg units including Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation as needed.
• Ensure all activities adhere to safety protocols and demonstrate clinical competence.

Qualifications:

• Possess active BLS certification.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience.
• Be proficient in reading telemetry and pass initial competency testing.
• VenAmass to current Epic EMR proficiency; refresher classes or sit-with options are not applicable.
• Exhibit strong clinical judgment, communication, and team collaboration skills.
• Hold an active nursing license in good standing.
