Job Summary:
Providing specialized care for patients with infectious diseases, including COVID, MRSA, and C-Diff, this RN role involves managing a private 18-bed unit with a focus on infection control and patient safety. The position requires adherence to strict protocols and collaboration with multidisciplinary team members to deliver quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and titrate medications, including Heparin and other IV drugs, following established protocols.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, collaborating with remote telehealth services as needed.
• Implement isolation precautions and infection control measures for all patients.
• Respond to patient needs and changes in condition, escalating concerns to the Charge Nurse.
• Adhere to unit policies regarding dress code, documentation, and shift responsibilities.
• Support unit operations by floating to other MedSurg areas and assisting with patient care as required.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with recent MedSurg and Infectious Disease experience.
• Current BLS certification; additional certifications are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of isolation precautions, infection control, and IV medication administration.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Proven ability to adapt quickly and work efficiently within multidisciplinary teams.
