Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. Ensure patient safety, monitor fetal and maternal health, and respond efficiently to emergencies.

Responsibilities:

• Assess laboring patients to monitor maternal and fetal well-being continuously.
• Administer medications and interventions following established protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to manage high-risk pregnancies and emergencies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, interventions, and outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, postpartum care, and newborn care.
• Respond promptly to fetal distress and other obstetric emergencies.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Proficient in fetal monitoring and management of obstetric emergencies.
• CPR, BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required.
• Experience with high-risk patient populations and cesarean procedures.
• Ability to float to other units such as MedSurg when necessary.
