Job Summary:

The Medical Surgical Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients undergoing medical or surgical treatments. This role involves collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety, education, and well-being within a hospital setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ conditions and develop individualized care plans based on medical needs.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions following hospital protocols.
• Monitor and document patient progress, reporting significant changes to the medical team.
• Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatment options, and post-discharge care.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and support staff to coordinate patient care.
• Adhere to all regulatory standards, hospital policies, and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing.
• Demonstrate experience in medical-surgical nursing; new graduates are not eligible.
• Possess current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Exhibit strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and effective communication.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical procedures and healthcare regulations.
