Job Summary:

Seeking experienced RN for Medical Surgical unit specializing in cardiac care. This travel assignment offers opportunities to enhance clinical skills in a dynamic hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care to surgical and cardiac patients by implementing nursing interventions.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythm strips, documenting each shift as required.
• Administer medications, including Heparin, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Amiodarone drips.
• Perform procedures such as chest tube management, wound vac care, and EKG analysis.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including PCTs, hospitalists, and nursing supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, including bedside rounding and hourly patient assessments.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in medical-surgical or telemetry units.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac medications and infusion management.
• Demonstrated proficiency in telemetry monitoring and documentation systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
• Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend.
