Job Summary:
Provide skilled nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and adherence to clinical protocols through efficient management and documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, including Heparin, Cardizem, Dopamine, and Amiodarone drips, following physician orders.
• Perform procedures such as chest tube management, wound vac management, and EKG interpretation.
• Conduct bedside and hourly rounding with patient engagement on the 5 P's, reporting needs to PCTs and updating the team.
• Document telemetry application, rhythm strips, and vital signs accurately in Meditech-HCA system each shift.
• Maintain compliance with protocols regarding alarms, call lights, and IV safety.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, hospitalists, and support personnel to deliver quality patient care.

Qualifications:

• Current valid RN license with at least 2 years of recent medical-surgical experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Knowledge of cardiac medications such as Heparin, Cardizem, Dopamine, and Amiodarone.
• Ability to perform procedures such as chest tube management and wound vac care.
• Strong understanding of telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including every other weekend.
