Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to cardiac medical-surgical patients in a busy hospital unit. Ensure patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols while delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer cardiac medications and monitor titrated drips such as Cardizem and heparin.
• Perform EKG rhythm identification and interpret cardiac rhythms accurately.
• Implement patient care plans, documenting appropriately in Meditech system.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Maintain unit policies, protocols, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Assist in maintaining equipment such as GE telemetry, Rover, and Welch-Allen VS machines.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current state licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent med-surg experience, specifically with cardiac/telemetry patients.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS is required.
• Proficient in EKG rhythm recognition and cardiac medication administration.
• Experience with Meditech documentation system preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and floating to other units.
