Job Summary:
Assist in surgical procedures as part of the operating room team, providing skilled nursing care and support to patients before, during, and after surgery. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain high standards of patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for surgery by verifying identity, reviewing history, and ensuring proper environment.
• Collaborate with surgical team to facilitate smooth and efficient procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any changes during operations.
• Maintain sterile environment and assist with sterilization processes.
• Document patient care activities and surgical procedures accurately.
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid NY State Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent OR nursing experience, with strong orthopedic background.
• Hold current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EMR systems, specifically Paragon.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and floating as needed.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
