Job Summary:

Provides skilled physical therapy support to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Focuses on implementing treatment plans to improve patient mobility and recovery through evidence-based interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medically necessary treatments, including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices.
• Assess patient progress regularly and communicate findings to the supervising Physical Therapist to modify treatment plans as needed.
• Document all interventions, patient responses, and progress accurately in electronic health records according to regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, patients, families, and caregivers to support optimal recovery outcomes.
• Support the supervision and mentoring of students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development activities.

Qualifications:

• Valid and active State PTA license.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant PTA experience, preferably in LTC or rehab settings.
• Demonstrated proficiency in documentation, clinical interventions, and patient care.
• Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and patients.
• Ability to work collaboratively under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• New graduates with Level II clinical experience will be considered.
