Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist Assistant provides rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. They support clinical objectives by applying evidence-based practices in a variety of therapeutic modalities.

Responsibilities:

• Support treatment planning by implementing interventions such as manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, ambulation, and modalities.
• Assess patient progress and communicate findings to the supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Document all treatments, patient responses, and clinical observations accurately in the electronic medical records system.
• Provide counseling and education to patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers about physical disorders and care strategies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, care conferences, and required trainings to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support the procurement of necessary supplies, DME, and assistive devices in compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active and valid State PTA license.
• Possess at least 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant, with LTC or rehab experience preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in documenting clinical treatments and patient progress within one year.
• Be willing to work collaboratively with supervising Physical Therapists and support students when needed.
• Comply with the APTA and state practice acts, ethics, and conduct standards during practice.
• New graduates with Level II experience are considered, provided they meet all licensure and experience criteria.
