Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, focusing on monitoring and stabilizing patients requiring intermediate to high acuity care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions continuously and modify care plans accordingly.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor vital signs and clinical parameters, including cardiac drips and art lines.
• Document patient status and interventions accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license; additional VA license or pending verification accepted.
• Possess at least 2 years of acute care or stepdown nursing experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic electronic medical records system.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS preferred.
• Exhibit strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt to float policies within scope of practice.
