Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, focusing on monitoring cardiac patients and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced environment requiring technical proficiency and clinical judgment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and interpret EKG readings to identify cardiac issues.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures per physician orders and protocol.
• Monitor and document patient responses, vital signs, and changes in clinical status in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies, utilizing advanced clinical skills.
• Educate patients and families on condition management and post-discharge instructions.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Possess at least 2 years of cardiac telemetry and stepdown unit experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in reading EKGs and managing cardiac devices.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Able to handle a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Comfortable with Meditech EMR and team-based care.
