Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room environment. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and effective procedure workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients pre-operatively to determine their condition and readiness for surgery.
• Prepare the operating room by ensuring all surgical equipment and supplies are sterile and functional.
• Assist surgeons and surgical staff during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition throughout surgeries, responding to any changes.
• Document all patient care activities, observations, and surgical details accurately in the EMR.
• Support post-operative care, including patient recovery and family updates as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with current CPR/BLS certification.
• At least 1 year of recent experience in an operating room or surgical setting.
• Proficient in Meditech or similar electronic medical records systems.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures such as orthopedics, general, colorectal, urology, and gynecological surgeries.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, proactive approach, and ability to work well within a team.
