Job Summary:

The RN PCU is responsible for providing advanced cardiac and intermediate care to complex medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patients. They deliver personalized patient care, perform critical assessments, and utilize specialized skills to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patient conditions regularly, with a focus on cardiac and telemetry patients.
• Administer medications, including titration of drips such as Dopamine, Nitro, and Insulin.
• Perform advanced procedures such as IV insertions, chest tube management, and DHT insertions.
• Document patient care thoroughly in Meditech, including head-to-toe assessments and specific interventions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care.
• Utilize hospital technologies like Welch Allyn dynamaps, Phillips telemetry, and iMobile devices to enhance patient management.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with relevant state board approval.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Cardiac/Telemetry, PCU, or critical care settings.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Demonstrated proficiency in IV insertion, chest tube, and CVC management.
• Strong assessment skills including EKG interpretation and early mobility techniques.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment with flexible scheduling.
